Goodwill Industries Tour – NNE Marketing Event @ Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries

Come spend some quality time with your fellow NAPO-NE chapter members while observing the Goodwill mission in action. Get a behind-the-scene tour of the distribution center, a working Goodwill resale store, their clothing collaborative, and their career center. Learn about the history of the Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries, and find out how they successfully provide an opportunity for independence and dignity through work. Ask all the questions you have in regards to their daily operations of collecting, processing and reselling the donations they receive.

While you can never predict when a disaster will strike, you can certainly prepare for it. Doug Glassman from ServPro will teach us what we can do to help your clients prepare themselves and their homes for a disaster, whether it’s a contained event such as a fire or pipe burst, or a natural disaster such as earthquakes.

Eileen Dacey, LICSW, Chair, North Shore Hoarding Task Force, will help us gain an enhanced understanding of what hoarding disorder looks like and how it is conceptually defined. The presentation will highlight the many variables that complicate hoarding situations, communication styles and a review of popular assessment tools.
