About Our Authors
Mary Lou Andre, Organization by Design
Mary Lou Andre started her Needham, MA-based fashion consulting business Organization By Design, Inc. in 1992 with no clients, no capital and very little personal money to put into the business. She sold her wedding dress to pay for stationery and business cards and even more clothes out of her closet to buy a computer and memberships to women’s organizations where she could meet and network with women who could afford her services.
Today Mary Lou is one of the country’s most sought-after experts on professional image, appearing regularly in the national media. She continues to work with a growing list of corporate, professional service, retail and non-profit clients, developing dress codes, designing motivational professional image programs and working with her clients to create one-of-a-kind custom events that include employee fashion shows and high-end client appreciation events that leverage her expertise and connections in the fashion and business worlds. She also leads a team of stylists that work with the firm’s private clients and continues to be a significant contributor to several Boston-based non-profits that allows the company to give back.
Kathy Vines is a Certified Professional Organizer, Productivity Specialist, and the owner of Clever Girl Organizing, in Melrose, MA. She is the author of Clever Girls’ Guide to Living with Less; Break Free from Your Stuff, Even When Your Head and Heart Get in the Way. Kathy began her in-home and small business organizing company more than 5 years ago. Because her book and her blog have introduced her to readers from all over, she works with clients virtually to help them conquer clutter, even if she’s not right there in the room to lend a helping hand.
Maryann’s educational background includes a B.A. degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Social Work (MSW), as well as a Certificate as Specialist in Chronic Disorganization from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization, and Certification as a Certified Professional Organizer (CPO). As a result of this background, she brings a broad variety of experience to help you and your teams learn the most effective strategies for organizing your work spaces and your schedules.
— Cancellation Policy —
In case of inclement weather, the NAPO-NE Board of Directors may cancel our monthly NAPO-NE business meeting in order to ensure safety. Should there be a snow emergency declared in the city of Waltham, MA, the President and the Treasurer will make a decision regarding the meeting no later than 2:00 pm that same day. The President will direct the website chair to reflect the change on the NAPO-New England website, will send out an email to the membership, and will notify the Boston/Waltham Embassy Suites of the meeting cancellation. Members should not call the Boston/Waltham Embassy Suites. Liaisons to Programming, Greeters, Associate Members, Facilitator, etc. will contact appropriate people to inform them of the cancellation.
