Closet Organizing Tip – RED ALERT!

My husband quips that I can usually be found at “fine stores everywhere”… and he’s often right. I love to shop.

But I also love to have a selection of clothing that plays nicely together. This is what works for me.

  • As soon as I get home I hang up the new items in my closet on my bright red hangers.
  • They have a chance to “settle-in”, while I have time to consider their usability.  If I can’t see at least three combinations – the piece typically gets returned.
  • The bright red alerts me to the “probationary” status – and reminds me to cut the tags and enjoy wearing – or take it back to the store and wait for something better.
